In 2025/26 the TC Foundation has been bestowed with the University of Glasgow's highest honour for philanthropy and is officially listed in the Roll of Benefactors by the University in recognition of its significant fundraising for the University’s students since 2010.
The Trustees of The TC Foundation will be awarded the honour at the University's Commemoration Day in June 2026, where the Foundation's name will be read out alongside 'those others who have ensured the University and its impactful work have flourished throughout the centuries, such as James the Second, King of Scots, and philanthropists such as Andrew Carnegie'.
The TC Foundation’s Trustees and staff work hard behind the scenes to raise funds for bursaries for conservation students who need support to be able to take up their places at the Kelvin Centre. However we must mention that these bursaries wouldn't exist without the funding from all the marvellous trusts and foundations listed in the Fundraising page of our website. The TC Foundation trustees and generations of students are hugely grateful for their generous support. Thank you to them all! Since the Foundation’s inception in 1975 bursaries have enabled many hundreds of students to train as conservators; they now work in over 40 countries across the globe - from Alaska to New Zealand and Chile to China!
