MPhil Book and Paper Conservation Course

The TC Foundation are delighted to see the new MPhil Book and Paper Conservation course has got off the ground with huge successes already!  The University of Glasgow welcomed four students in September 2025 in its first year (it is expected that there will be more students next year!).  What an active year they have had so far - they've attended workshops on paper making and printing, and had opportunities to train and network with many conservators in Scotland and the UK.  Here's the blog from them about their first semester:

The TC Foundation received a generous award from the Pilgrim Trust towards bursaries for the MPhil Book and Paper Conservation students and it is clear that this funding has made a difference already.  The TC Foundation trustees are grateful to the Pilgrim Trust who have been long term supporters of the Kelvin Centre (previously known as the Textile Conservation Centre) and the students who have passed through its doors since 1975!
